Hemophilia Clinic and Resource

Hemophilia is a serious, life-long disorder that is characterized by bleeding into joints and muscles due to a deficiency of clotting factors in the blood. Patients with hemophilia require more than just medical management. Appropriate treatment in childhood can prevent future complications such as premature joint degeneration. People with established joint problems might also benefit from treatment, with participation in a physical therapy program and/or reconstructive joint surgery.
